Backtrolling is similar to trolling, except the boat gradually works its way back down the river against the current very slowly. . Sometimes we will use a method called backbouncing which is in essence, jigging a weight down river and enticing a King to bite the eggs. If these methods are not working, we will attempt Drifting (also called "Boondogging"). Drifiting involves floating down river, perpindicular to the bank in hopes of legally snagging a fish in the mouth.
